Selecting from the squad of Mika Hoshino, Emiko Kanda, Fumiko Shinpo and Tomoko Tamura; Japan reached the final of the Women’s Team event at the World Championships in 1983.

On Sunday 4th May at the ZEN-NOH 2014 World Team Championships, the 31 year wait to repeat the achievement came to a close.
