Nikon Hong Kong Junior and Cadet Open Setting New Standards

Shining like a beacon in a star lit sky, the Nikon Hong Kong Junior and Cadet Open is the pearl of the ITTF Junior Circuit.

A Premium event, It is the tournament that in the past two years has set the standards for others to follow.

In 2011 it is set to maintain and even raise those standards. The tournament, staged from Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th August, will once again be held in the Queen Elizabeth Stadium. A splendid setting for the five day event, the Queen Elizabeth Stadium was opened in 1980 and has a 3,500 seating capacity.


Press Conference

Preparations for the 2011 staging of the tournament are now well advanced with a well-attended Press Conference being held on the Lecture Theatre of Olympic House o Tuesday 28th June.

Official Guests

Official guests present were: Mr. Pang Chung (Honorary Secretary General, Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China), Mr. Leo Wong (Senior Leisure Manager for Sports Funding, Leisure & Cultural services Department, Kong Kong Special Administrative Region Government), Mr. Jimmy Wan (General Manager, Hong Kong Sales and Marketing Division, Nikon Hong Kong Ltd), Mr. Tony Yue (Chairman, ITTF Junior Commission and Hong Kong Table Tennis Association) and Mr. Lawrence Leung (Vice-Chairman, Hong Kong Table Tennis Association).


Present and Correct

In addition all members of the Hong Kong Table Tennis Youth Squad attended with the official guests playing against the youngsters, both using rackets designed especially for the occasion.


A splendid promotion; Hong Kong raises the bar, new standards, higher standards.
