Represented by Han Yichen, Yang Xiao and Li Yinan; China `C’ won the Junior Girls' Team title at the China Junior Open in Chengdu on Thursday 18th June 2009.
At the penultimate stage they overcame the Korean outfit of Kim Ga Young, Park Joo Hyun and Jee Da Young, before defeating the top seeded Hong Kong trio of Lee Ho Ching, Ng Wing Nam and Guan Meng Yuan at the final hurdle to clinch gold.
The dynasty of Chinese female excellence continues.
In both instances a three matches to one outcome was the end result for the victorious Chinese and in both contests they did not make the best of starts.
Defeat Sparked Positive Response
Against Korea, Yang Xiao was beaten in the opening match; she lost to Kim Ga Young; whilst in the final it was a similar situation with Han Yichen suffering at the hands of Lee Ho Ching.
An opening reverse but on both occasions the defeat sparked the Chinese to greater heights.
In the duel against Korea, Han Yichen and Yang Xiao both defeated Park Joo Hyun whilst Li Yinan overcame Jee Da Young.

Similarly, in opposition to Hong Kong in the final, the response was very positive.
Yang Xiao accounted for both Ng Wing Nam and Lee Ho Ching whilst in the third match of the fixture, Li Yinan defeated Guan Meng Yuan.
China versus China
Success for China in the Junior Girls' Team competition and also in the Cadet Girls' Team event where the final will see China `B' confront China `C'
In the semi-finals China `C' (Yang Jingxu, Pan Yingying, Liu Tianlu) beat China `A' (Ru Yao, Lu Lan, Lin Hong) bt three matches to one whilst in the counterpart semi-final, China `B' (Tao Yo, Wei Dan, Chen Libing) overcame the joing Egypt / USA outfit (Dina Meshref, Lily Zhang, Reem Morad) by three matches to nil.
