The year is just three months old and during that time three young ladies have been continually in evidence; in so doing they have very much heralded a new era for Hong Kong.

Doo Hoi Kem, Lee Ho Ching and Ng Wing Nam have very much made their presence felt.

At recent GAC Group 2014 ITTF World Tour Qatar Open, a Super Series Tournament, both Doo Hoi Kem and Ng Wing Nam reached the semi-final stage of the Women’s Singles event; with Ng Wing Nam securing a further appearance on the medal podium by winning the Women’s Doubles title with Lee Ho Ching.

Furthermore, earlier in the year in the Portuguese city of Vilanova de Gaia, Doo Hoi Kem remained unbeaten throughout the World Youth Olympic Games Qualification Tournament and the ITTF Junior Circuit Finals. She booked her place in Nanjing and added to her trophy collection.

Similarly in March at the GAC Honda Asian Cup in the Chinese city of Wuhan, Lee Ho Ching gained a most worthy fifth place and, one week ago in Magdeburg at the GAC Group 2014 ITTF World Tour German Open, she was a quarter-finalist. More...
